U-Cut Stories
"Since this was the first time I was getting a real Christmas tree my boyfriend decided we should do it right. We packed up the kids and the dog and headed to Sloans, where I carefully picked the best tree in the lot! We all had a great time and made wonderful memories for our first Christmas together. Here is our beautiful tree all lit and decorated!"

"My Fiance and I wanted to enjoy our first tree together, so we put it up early in November.  We got it all set up and decorated it the same day, and we're still enjoying the nice fresh smell.  We've yet to find a star or angel to go at the top, so the tip is still bare. When we walked into the patch, we were attracted to the first tree we saw; we looked around for a while and found many great trees, but we decided to stick with the first one we stumbled upon. We're very satisfied with the whole experience and we'll always cherish the memory we have of our first Christmas tree together."

Tree Care

  • Store in protected area outdoors until tree is brought inside.
  • Cut 1/2" to 1" off tree butt to freshen bottom. This allows the tree to take up water. Then put in tree stand immediately.
  • Keep stand full of water. It will need to be filled once a day in the first week.
  • Keep tree away from any heat source.
  • Keep lights off when away from home and before retiring at night.
Environmental Impact
  • By purchasing a real tree to decorate your home, you have completed a twelve-year cycle of green for the planet.
  • Your tree has provided cover for animals, oxygen for the planet and saved on fossil fuels required to make the imitation ones.
  • Next spring the farmer will be planting another seedling to replace your tree.
  • If people didn't use real trees, farmers wouldn't plant them.
  • Your tree will keep fresh when you re-cut the butt and keep the water full.
